We, The Believers at Muhammad Temple of Islam in Detroit, Michigan, THANK YOU for your donations. We wanted to bring you up to date on what we are doing in the way of PROGRESS with our new Temple and School. When we Purchased this property last June (2009) there were back taxes owed (2007 & 2008). And the 2009 taxes are now due. We have been using the donations to help pay the back taxes on this property. Once we are actually holding our Temple Meetings here, we will be exempt from any taxes afterward, but until then we must pay any prior taxes owed before the date we open. We do not and will not seek 501c3 status. We rely strictly upon Allah, Who came in the Person of Master Fard Muhammad, to open the hearts of the the Believers and sympathizers to help us! There was quite a bit of electrical work that needed to be done before we could have the electricity turned on. That work has been completed. Thanks to Allah, opening the hearts of Believers,
to send donations, we were blessed to be able to pay "Perfect Resultz Construction" (a Black-owned company) to complete both the electrical work and some of the plumbing work.
