As Salaam Alikum!
Brothers and sisters you have an absolutely wonderful site and I plan to help you keep this site up because of your apparent love of The Great Leader Elijah Muhammad, The Messenger of Allah who came in the paerson of Master Fard Muhammad to who praises is due forever.
I did have one question and comment. Why do you take the position that you do concerning the leadership of Minister Farrakhan? I have included a comment about Min Farrakhan that waqs made during his Theology of Time series. It seems to indicate that he messenger was extremely pleased with Min Farrakhan and gave instructions to those in attendance and to all who would hear concerning how we should treat Min Farrakhan. He did not call out Silas or Wallace or any other Minister, only Farrakhan. What is your response to this verbatim quote from The Messenger below. I really would like to hear back from you. This is not an attack, just an honest question. You are obviously highly intelligent and have The Messengers best intrest in mind and Black peoples intrest in mind. Please dont be offended, I visit your site daily to hear The Messenger.
In 1972, the Honorable Elijah Muhammad opened a $2 million mosque and school in Chicago. During this important grand opening of Mosque No. 2, he praised and let it be known who his top helper was in his work.
He asked Min. Farrakhan to come before the religious community and then made the following announcement while digressing from his previously stated remarks: "I want you to remember, today, I have one of my greatest preachers here-what are you hiding behind the sycamore tree for brother? (He chuckled)-c'mon around here where they can see you. (A rousing round of applause ensued).
"We have with us today," the Messenger continued, "our great national preacher. The preacher who don't mind going into Harlem, New York, one of the most worst towns in our nation or cities. It is our brother in Detroit and Chicago or New York. But, I want you to remember every week he's on the air helping me to reach those people that I can't get out of my house and go reach them like he.
"I want you to pay good attention to his preaching. His preaching is a bearing of witness to me and what God has given to me," he declared. "This is one of the strongest national preachers that I have in the bounds of North America. Everywhere you hear him, listen to him. Everywhere you see him, look at him. Everywhere he advises you to go, go. Everywhere he advises you to stay from, stay from. For we are thankful to Allah for this great helper of mine, Min. Farrakhan." (Another rousing round of applause ensued). "He's not a proud man," he said. "He's a very humble man. If he can carry you across the lake without dropping you in; he don't say when you get on the other side, 'You see what I have done?' He tells you, 'You see what Allah has done.' He doesn't take it upon himself. He's a mighty fine preacher. We hear him every week, and I say continue to hear our Min. Farrakhan. I thank you."
MUHAMMAD SPEAKS RESPONSE:
In the Name of Allah, Who came in the Person of Master Fard Muhammad. I forever thank Him For Raising up His Last and Greatest Messenger, The Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad (peace be upon him).
As-Salaam-Alaikum Brother Rodney Muhammad!
Thank you for visiting Muhammad Speaks Website and for your good words concerning it.We appreciate your offer help us to keep the site up and running. And we pray Allah will bless you to do so. Regarding your question: "Why do you take the position that you do concerning the leadership of Minister Farrakhan?" Minister Farrakhan admitted that he turned hypocrite. Asked for forgiveness. And then returned to the same hypocrisy.
Regarding your question and comment about the Messenger's remarks about Farrakhan in 1972:
Messenger Elijah Muhammad made it clear during a 1964 Laborers Meeting with his Ministers and Captain (available on audio-cassette tape) that he didn't know who would turn hypocrite, as he spoke of his blood brother (son of his mother) named Kalatt Muhammad, who turned hypocrite.
The Messenger said, "I had all the confidence in him. I didn't think not one time that he would ever deviate, but Allah showed me I didn't know their hearts." So yes, at the time Messenger Elijah Muhammad spoke these good words, Minister Farrakhan had not yet turned hypocrite. It was not until after The Messenger's death that Farrakhan turned and then admitted being a hypocrite.
And the Messenger made it clear to us, how to deal with hypocrites.
May Allah continue to Bless and Keep you in His way.
Your Brother,
Levi Karim
