The following is an except from page 16 of  "Muhammad Speaks Continues" Vol 2, No. 49

"You might ask me how did I, Minister John Muhammad, become a Minor Prophet, and Supreme Minsiter? Ans. First, I became a minister in 1933 by Master Fard Muhammad. Teaching what I had learned to the Mulsim's each Wednesday night and helping on Sundays with the Secretary, Ben Sobakham. One day I visited the Messenger's home in Chicago. After dining with him, we walked out of the dining room together. We stopped before entering the lobby room and he said to me,  "Seal up John, write no more, the seven thunders have utter thy voice, and the Messenger then said to me, "you go and get in the class of those little minor fellows and study along with them, they don't talk much; but brother what they say they hit the point. That is where you should be. And I joined that class. I did so and no one ever knew I was one (Minor Prophet) until minister Sami Muhammad became my helper or my representative. 2. How I became Supreme Minister. It was revealed to me and I spoke it to the people of my temple..."
