1. As a Muslim and Registered member of THE NATION OF ISLAM, upon declaration of FAITH, a RIGHTEOUS NAME (ATTRIBUTE) of ALMIGHTY GOD ALLAH is PRESCRIBED.
2. HISTORICAL - Because you HONESTLY BELIEVE that your name that is on your IDENTIFICATION has NO CONNECTION with your true ANCESTRY, HERITAGE, or ORIGIN.
Other Reasons why people change their name:
1. Birth certificate shows one name. But he/she has always gone by another name, and desire that his/her legal name conforms to the name he/she has assumed.
2. Sheer dislike of present name.
3. To conform to a Professional Image or Lifestyle.
