Muhammad Speaks Wishes to Express Our Deepest Sympathy to the Family of

In the name of Allah who came in the Person of Master Fard Muhammad, to whom we forever give thanks and Praise, I bear witness there is no God but Allah and the Honorable Elijah Muhammad is His Apostle.
As Salaam Alaikum.
It is with a very sad heart but a very firm belief in Master Fard Muhammad to whom praise is due forever for His Messenger the Honorable Elijah Muhammad that I announce to the world of believers that a great Muslim and soldier for Messenger Elijah Muhammad died peacefully in his sleep last night, Minister David Pasha (pronounced Bah-chah). He is survived by his wife of over 40 years, a former MGT Captain appointed by Messenger Elijah Muhammad; His 8 children, and a host of grandchildren, family, fellow laborers and believers in Messenger Elijah Muhammad.
Minister Pasha became a follower of Messenger Elijah Muhammad sometime in 1959 according to his own words although not formally on forms until 1963. He became Minister of Muhammad’s Temple # 5 in Cincinnati in 1965, where he served The Nation of Islam faithfully until the Messengers departure in 1975. Like many of the firm believers in Messenger Elijah Muhammad who saw through the lies of the hypocrites who sold us down the river in 1975, Minister Pasha, took his family and left the confines of Cincinnati Ohio, but not his belief in Messenger Elijah Muhammad.
Minister Pasha achieved many accolades in the Devils secular world, completing His bachelors at Miami University in Ohio, where he met his beloved wife and companion Aldean, later together they both achieved their Jurist Doctorate degrees and became practicing attorney’s in the Ohio bar. Minister Pasha became one of the first black corporate attorney’s of Proctor and Gamble in Cincinnati and later was named chairman of the Ohio young Republicans. Even though he was being groomed to be one of the “Acceptable Negroes”, it was during this time that he began to study the teachings of Messenger Elijah Muhammad, attending the local Temple #5 Meetings. The Devils questioned him on his attendance and he never wavered, stating “ Yes I am attending, and no I am not a member yet”. The Devils still later appointed him assistant Attorney General for the State of Ohio. Later under private practice he and his wife became well known as they practiced under the Holy surname “X” given to them by Allah through His Messenger the Honorable Elijah Muhammad. David X was sought out as a defense attorney extraordinaire by white and black alike clients alike. A case of his set the Anglo-American jurisprudence precedent for the legal name “X” when the prosecuting attorney tried to challenge Minister Pasha to address the court with his slave name, needless to say Minister Pasha was victorious. He would often mention that in spite of the numerous academic laurels that were bestowed on him, and the legal minds that he was exposed to, he NEVER met a wiser man from EVERY field of endeavor, including the legal profession, than Messenger Elijah Muhammad.
Those who had the pleasure of knowing Minister Pasha, and witnessing his lecture and defense of Messenger Elijah Muhammad were always impressed by his passionate and scholarly defense and presentation of the truth Allah gave to us through Messenger Elijah Muhammad. I had the pleasure of meeting Minister Pasha sometime in 1987 and through the years he shared with me his recollections and taught me of and pointed me to the last Messenger, the Honorable Elijah Muhammad. We became close in business, then eventually in belief as Muslim brothers and laborers for Messenger Elijah Muhammad. He was always a student to the end, never making young Muslims feel like he “knew it all”, but always looking for our insights and seeing the teachings through a young Muslims eyes again, getting new insight. Many have tried to make me a student of others, but IF there was a man who I would FOOLISHLY say I was a student of (of course there is none but Messenger Elijah Muhammad) it would be Minister David Pasha. The last I saw Minister Pasha 1 week ago in his weakened condition, I showed him my 15 month old son Elijah Karriem Ali and I stated “Karriem, this is the man that saved your daddies life….”, he then forcefully cut me off with his booming voice in only the way that Pasha could, “NO, All Praise is due to Allah for the Honorable Elijah Muhammad, I was only the vessel!”
The world of Islam has lost a great Muslim and representative of Messenger Elijah Muhammad and I have lost a wonderful brother, friend, father and my Minister…………David Pasha. His name will be remembered forever throughout the Nation of Islam as one who stood firm on the truth that God gave to His Messenger, the Honorable Elijah Muhammad.
