| 1-10 oz. can asparagus (or one bunch fresh) | 1/2 green pepper |
| 2 medium onions | 1/4 lb. ground meat |
| 2 medium tomatoes | 1/2 cup toasted bread crumbs |
| 1 clove garlic | 1 TBSP chopped parsley |
| salt | pepper |
| dash of cinnamon | meat and bread crumbs may be omitted |
Melt butter in skillet, add sliced onion, pepper and garlic. Cover and Cook on low flame until tender, do not brown. Add meat. Stir until it becomes grainy, add sliced tomatoes and seasonings. Cook for 5 minutes. Line bottom of dish with crumbs pour on some meat mixtures, then add asparagus. Pour the remaining meat on and top with crumbs. Bake in oven 350 degrees for about 45 mintues. Serves 2 to 4.
